The King who loved to marry

Henry VIII (28 June 1491 – 28 January 1547) , the King of England from 22 April 1509 until his death in 1547.
Best known for his six marriages and the tragic endings of most of his wives.

In 1525, as Henry grew more impatient with Catherine's  (Catherine of Aragon, Henry’s first wife) inability to produce the male heir he desired, then he made every effort he could to have his first marriage (to) annulled.

On 12 October 1537, Jane Seymour (the king’s third wife ) gave birth to Henry’s only son, Prince Edward, the future Edward VI, who died young at the age of 16.

Henry’s throne was eventually succeeded by the daughters (Queen Mary I & Queen Elizabeth I ), whom he disliked.

Fox Tossing

A competitive blood sport popular in parts of Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Involved throwing live foxes and other animals high into the air.

Particularly popular for mixed couples, even though it was hazardous for the people launching the animals as the terrified animals would often turn on the participants. The result was often fatal for the tossed animals.

His first ambition was to be an artist

Adolf Hitler, dictator of Germany from 1933 to 1945

In his youth, he wanted to become a professional artist, but his dreams were ruined

He failed the entrance exam of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and was rejected by the institute twice, once in 1907 and again in 1908.

He produced hundreds of works and sold his paintings and postcards to try to earn a living during his Vienna years (1908–1913).

The king who was tortured to death

Charles II (29 May 1630 – 6 February 1685)was King of Scotland from 1649 until 1651, and King of England, Scotland and Ireland from the 1660 Restoration of the monarchy until his death in 1685, also well-known as Merrie Monarch.

In the days between his collapse and his death, Charles endured a variety of torturous treatments including bloodletting, purging and cupping in hopes of effecting a recovery, which may have exacerbated his uraemia through dehydration instead of helping alleviate it.
